Digital Radiology (X-rays)

XRayA radiograph, commonly called an x-ray, allows us to assess various internal structures within the body.  We employ digital radiology, which allows us to get high quality images quickly and email images to specialists if needed.

Radiology is an excellent tool to help evaluate the size and shape of many organs as well as to aid in the diagnosis of various diseases, including broken bones, bladder stones, congestive heart failure, respiratory diseases, foreign objects, and cancer.  Most x-ray studies to evaluate the chest or abdomen do not require sedation.

Orthopedic x-rays, taken to assess for hip dysplasia or fractures, often require sedation since these pets are often painful.
